Current Activities

  • Research for the Via Egnatia cycling trail.
  • Further dissemination of the game in Albania and the Netherlands
  • Further development of the Via Egnatia Hiking Trail. Especially finding and organizing more B&Bs and other accommodations for hikers.

Plans for the near future

  • Gathering and online publishing of personal stories told by people living along the Via Egnatia.
  • Finalizing and online publishing of the VE cycling trail.
  • Translation and production of the Caravan Via Egnatia game in Greek and Turkish.
  • Dissemination of the game along the VE in Greece and Türkiye.

  • 2006-2010 Literature research, field research and networking journeys in Albania, North Macedonia, Greece and Türkiye.
  • February 2009 International kick-off conference in Bitola, funded by the Dutch government.
  • 2009 – today  Promotional exhibitions, events, lectures, networking, etc.
  • 2009-2011 Four Caravan journeys with different international groups of 20 people Durrës to Istanbul.

  • 2012 Cooking event in Peqin and Librazhd, Albania. Women bringing their favourite dishes revealing the recipees.
  • 2011-2022 Field research  and plotting missions on foot for the Via Egnatia Hiking Trail.
